Vibro Champ Advice
I found a guy that wants to trade a super sweet Silverface Vibro Champ for my 90's Carvin X100B head.I dont know what the market brings for the Fender but correct me if I am wrong to say this is a good deal.

Re: Vibro Champ Advice
The Carvin may be worth a *hair* more in the modern market because of its power and channel switching, but the Vibro Champ is leaps and bounds cooler and probably more practical for most people too. I tend to under-value old big power heads because they really are useless for home/recording situations (and many live situations unless it relies on the preamp only for distortion and has a good MV). The Vibro Champ OTOH is a fun little amp that fits in well at home, small jams, in the studios and has been on countless records at this point. To me the trade is obvious, but I love old Fender's (as it seems most do here).
Maybe you can get trade + a bit of cash as I think your Carvin is worth closer to $500-$600 where the VC is worth $300-$500.

Re: Vibro Champ Advice
Ive wanted a vibro champ some time and I have much less in the Carvin amp than what the price tag is on the Fender.Plus its just cool to have the old Fender and it looks like it has never been opened up,just the power cord was spliced from getting mashed in two. Will put a 3 prong on it ad maybe filter caps IF needed.Original speaker, tubes even the back panels are solid

No deal on the champ.....went back for a second test drive and the speaker was shot.Guess someone had a final blasting jam thinking I was about to leave with it the next day.Oh well.I'll find another one.Or maybe even a trem/verb SE Valco make!
