I've heard that the Santana deal went sour quite a while ago.vibratoking wrote: Rumor, and it is a rumor, is that Santana pays for his living/building space.

Getting away from HAD himself and back to the amps.
The whole cloning thing is a funny thing, there are guys like myself who will never build the amp exactly as intended, because there will be something about it that I don't like. Mind you, making an exact clone is cool too, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.
An example of mods I need to do is the clean volume control on my Bluesmaster clone. The clean volume control has to be set high to get decent overdrive tones, in doing this I can't set it low and use the bright switch to get jangley Fender-like tones.
I have an idea for a mod where I use a 4PDT relay so the clean volume and the overdrive share the same circuitry but seem to be independent.
Using this relay I could also have different tone stacks for clean and overdrive tones.
The point I'm making is there is still a lot of scope in this amp for meaningful modifications that even HAD would approve of.

Thanks for the picture it is a nice looking amp, and in blonde, I love blondes period!
JBL speakers and the cab is ported. Was the cab ported from the factory or is this HAD's work?

Re: Dumble Mod Reviews
Cool, that would be very interesting.
I've only heard one Dumble live and that was Robben Ford's tan head last Thursday
The room was pretty bouncy so I didn't get a real good idea how his amp sounded but I liked it when he kicked in PAB for leads.

Brad - did Trap make down with his 50watt TKT? We spoke the other day and he was excited at the prospect of attending.
