Interesting. I did not know this.selloutrr wrote:It was the amp used to record this song and one of the main stage amps used until the pay checks started coming in.bcmatt wrote:selloutrr wrote: If you want radio head's Creep - Traynor YGL-Mark 3
What do you mean by this?
I'm not disagreeing, just wondering where this is coming from...
I have two of these in head form; VERY clean amps.
Are you making a suggestion of a good way to get their tones; their cleans, and then add dirt pedals?
Everything Radiohead is a ton of pedals and studio tricks.
Well, I knew the pedals and studio tricks are big for them, but didn't know they originally used Traynors.
The YGL-3 amps are very much a take on Twin Reverbs, and it's interesting hearing once in a while about Eric Johnson and others who have used them. I had one before I even picked up guitar because of a friend who told me it was a bass amp left it at my house when I was younger so I could learn bass.
It eventually needed a cap job and he abandoned it.
Years later I got it repaired (and the tech told me what it was) and had an amp when I picked up electric guitar. I totally under-appreciated it because it was way too clean and I wanted a JCM800.
I like them now though for what they are.
Anyways, sorry about the interruption and distraction.
