Thoughts about a 18 watt closed back combo

I recently built an 18 watt combo - amp sounds great through my Marshall 4 x 12 cab but a little thin in the 2 x 12 open back combo cab I have (G12 H30's).

I thought closing the cab up on the back might give it little more oomph but wonder about heat etc.

Would the amp run too hot if I close it up? Any other issues I would have to worry about?

I assume you have the knobs on top like a bluesbreaker. Is it a home made cabinet?

If it has vents on top, it will be fine. If not, I wouldn't totally close the back. There isn't a lot of heat with an 18w but still.
