My wife likes my amp building because she always knows where I am :)

She even stopped asking how many amps do you need, nice!

Well I hope this time around the amp will work properly so you can start to enjoy your work.

Well, I got home and started playing a bit and everything sounds great. No issues.

First I picked up my Strat. At low volume nice cleans... more volume and more hair up through a nice crunch when I start to crank it.

Then I plugged in my Les Paul Studio which has humbuckers that I think are a little hotter than normal to begin with... HOLY @#($*~! That thing will rip you head clean off! Huge sounding heavy distortion. Have to turn almost all the way down to get clean (which still sounds really nice.)

Jezebel is a BEAST!

Then my girlfriend came downstairs complaining that the floor was vibrating and that I would go deaf.

I guess the next job is the airbrake.

Also I may try some different tube configurations to tone done some of the hiss amplifiednation mentioned in his post. I don't remember exactly what I have in there now, but it is mismash of a Tung Sol, a Sovtek and I think an RCA tube. I just purchased a pair of EI Yugoslavia Tubes that I want to try and maybe something to calm things down a bit in V1

As with the other thread I tried an 12AT7 in V1 and it greatly reduced the hiss. I may try adjusting the bias a bit or different tube configs but I think I'm there.

When I get the chance I'll try to record some and post some clips.

cheers

.... and thanks to all for your help in journey.
