im just finishing up my first amp build. Id like to start aquiring parts for my next amp build and figure if i buy a few spares, i might be able to build an express or something as my third. seems like a ton of information here but im rather new as well. i did a search and didnt find anything.
another idea, and this is kinda wishful thinking, any groups of guys in New Jersey ever get a bunch of parts together and take a sunday to put together an amp. it would be nice and helpful for a guy like me if i could tag along and ask questions.
thanks
bill

I wouldn't consider all these components "High" quality. There are a multitude of options to upgrade your build. For example....I used Vishay Dale resistors + or - 1%. Sozo tone caps. Switchcraft input, output jacks. Whatever you fancy. It's all in this forum. Just search. This is a good list to use for ordering parts.....from wherever. In reality....Mouser won't have all the parts on the list. It could take up to a month or more to get everything from them. The chassis from Ceriatone is good quality. Make sure you get tube sockets for "Fender" hole sizes and small 120V lamp socket. Transformers from "Toneslut". I sourced quite a bit of my components from Turretboards.com such as circuit board material, wire, jacks, switches, terminal posts, and some high quality capacitors. It was more expensive sourcing from several different suppliers.....but I got what I wanted. Did it make a difference? My amp sounds great to me. Let me repeat.....Take the time to read through this forum, and almost all your questions will have already been answered at some time.
