Newbie.. First TW style build, cab builder needed

Post by JDP »

First i would like to thank everyone for the wealth of information on this forum, truly a nice gathering of people. I will contribute as i can to try and return the favor.
After browsing here for many months i decided to build a liverpool and i am very glad i did, amazing amp!
Tonight was the first fire up and i need to do some tweaking (voltages) but the first note bloomed into feedback and i'm hooked!
I used a 10x6x2 chassis i had laying around, and transformers from a bassmate that had been butchered by someone.
Maybe i will call it the "Pocket Pool" ?? LOL

My question is, i would like a cabinet built for it.
Any suggestions for a nice hardwood cab? Maybe flamed maple or something interesting? Thanks![/img]

That is bloody cute as! I love it!
I built a pool ages ago, and seriously loved it with 2 tubes out, cool amp.
Good luck cabbing it, great build!

Distortions here on the forum does some pretty amazing work, depending on your budget, if you want the best looking timber can possibly look, then hes the mann.
I would love to see that in a mini distortions cab, be very very cool ;)

Thanks for the kind words, it does whoop ass! It sounds huge through a couple of older greenbacks.
I put a 3 position NFB switch on it and it will clean up really nice or scream with none, lots of options.
I will look up Distortions and see if i can put a suit on this baby pig.
Thanks again!
