Hello
I am a bit confused about the different models that were made by Trainwreck. What are these models and how are they different.
Is the Liverpool simular to the sound of a deluxe on steriods.
The express is this a AC 30 amp on steriods ?
What are differences when compared to stock Fender voc and marshall amps when compared to Trainwreck amps?
I am trying to understand what all these differences are.
By the way can anyone please post any other clips. Some that I have heard are just great.
Regards

To my ears, the Express is more like a Marshall, but different. The Liverpool was designed to be a bit like an AC30 (EL84's and all). Over all though, the Trainwrecks are a bit more gainy than these other amps, and VERY loud. They do clean up really well with the guitar volume though.
The clips below from YouTube are an Express.

Re: Information about models
Based on the circuitry and after talking about this with very knowledgeable persons, the Express resembles more a Bassman not a Marshall...So I will dare to say a Bassman in steroids with much more mids....
The Liverpool has the same preamp as the Express just that it uses EL84s. If there is an AC30 approximation it has to be the Rocket....

Re: Information about models
WHen I compared the Express to a Marshall, I was really referring more to its tone rather than its topology. And as for the AC30 link, it is not a very strong resemblence, but since the Liverpool uses 4 EL84's, they share some elements in the power section. Even the ROcket is not "like" an AC30 from a circuit viewpoint.

How does a liverpool compare in sound to an 18watt Marshall then? I have an 18watt and don't want a TW thats too close in tone to it but since the Liverpool runs 4 X el84's, I could remove two power tubes and put it in the 18watt power range. The Express with its el34's is just going to be too loud for most of my applications.

...UR12(Dana) posted some great clips of his amps...however, the last time I checked, the links weren't good anymore. Maybe Omar could host them?
this Express still works
