Donation towards a first SE amp...........gone

Post by ToneMerc »

Ok guys I have some parts that I would like to donate towards someone's first 5F1 style amp build. I would rather it go to someone that's really in need and rather new, so let's keep it on the honor system. My only stipulation is that I rather keep it limited the continental USA so I can ship it free as well.

Wow that's cool of you Mike.

A great opportunity for someone to build an amp.

Don't let the simple single ended thing throw you off, they can sound great and will get plenty loud.

Don't let that smoke out!

If still available, I am interested in the SE parts. I am fairly new to amp building but have been into restoring vintage Hi-Fi equipment for a couple years. I have played guitar for about 30 years and just recently started amp building using my spare hi-fi parts.

My first build just a bit ago was a 5E3 here is links to the build and photos etc.

And I am starting my second build which was going to be a 5F1 champ/switchable to a princeton tone circuit amp. I have a small p-p amp I was going to use but missing a SE OT for the project. I have not ordered anything for it yet was looking for a OT at a Hamfest today but no luck. Here is links to posts on that build

I would be more the ecstatic to receive the parts and would put them to good use and do a full documentation of the build as I did-doing with my 5E3 build.

Thanks!

BB, I'm waiting for confirm but looks like they have a home. However, if you need a SE OT, I have a new Champ replacement that I'll give ya, just PM me your address.

Thanks Mike I will PM. If that other stuff is still available please let me know. I would be willing to pay you something for the stuff as I am going to have to find the stuff anyhow.
