Weber relay kit- any good?

I am thinking about taking my (beginner) amp building skills up a notch by adding a relay to my AB763 build so that I may add a mid boost, with foot-pedal control.

I saw this and wondered about it? Would it allow the foot switch (that I would have to build) to use LED indicator lights?

Any other issues that you see? They make a number of relay kits, some require all the foot switch wiring to be isolated from ground, and some don't. This one I have listed here (below) does not need to be isolated from ground.

this is all you need to do for the addition of an LED if the (+) leg have voltage.

Yeah that will work.

To help you understand how the relay works, here is a diagram of a DPDT relay.

You have the common lug, then the normally closed lug.
These two are closed at rest.
When the coil is energised the common and normally open are closed.

To have the led light up on the footswitch you can run the led in series with the coil and switch the connection to ground.
With only one led you should have enough current to latch the relay and light the led.
