I asked Brownnote about this but I guess it's not quite as simple as that. The machine shop counts any change as a seperate run so you run into additional setup costs.
PT mount spacing is a very common dimension at 3.125"x2.50" so there are many types of iron that will fit. The cutout will be large enough to permit PTs with or without end bells. As for standup trannys, we didn't make any allowances for them.
For those of you who would like a custom chassis, I understand that KomboKing is starting to build chassis again. After his wife died, he gave it up for awhile but is now taking a few orders again. (Somebody please correct me if I'm wrong on this.) BTW, Hammond boxes are still a good bargain as long as you brace them and don't bounce the amp around.
