Pics from RF show last night

Post by T Wilcox »

Hello all
Here are a couple pics from the Robben Ford Trio show some of you might appreciate. I ended up sitting front row with general admin tickets, helps to have a pretty wife.

Hey Talbany
did you notice there is no Dumbleator in pic?
I was front row and unless he has cables going behind curtain there wasnt one. His Tone was top notch.

I see he is using the G Labs reverb pedal now.

Those amp setting might make sense if he isn't using the Dumbleator, he has the treble and presence both turned down.

Did he mess with the amp settings much during the night?

I don't know how he gets away with the bass turned up that high.

Strange with the Line 6.

I didn't think he used that many effects before?

I guess the amp settings aren't that far off from these two gigs.

He walked in turned the amp off standby and then did the pedal board shuffle all night never touching 102 except the pedal and I wasnt close enough to see whether he was using PAB or not but mainly went from clean to crunch. He used that zendrive alot and that is when I really heard Dumble Creamy sweet tone. Any body got one to sell for less than $190 shipped let me know. He stepped on that G-Lab quite a bit during the night as well. And pretty much used the rest of the pedals on the board in small moderation

Also Structo
You see in both pics the silver mark on each setting which is probably a good starting point then tweak depending on signal chain 8)

His amp pedal must be off to the side as I didn't see it on the board.

Man, I have to see him before he and I are too old to enjoy it.

Where was the venue?

Chances are if he used the Zen instead of the OD side of the amp he wouldn't need the Lator just the clean and PAB with the Zen did the trick..BTW the silver box marked input looks to be like some sort of buffer..

Sometimes you don't feel like carrying all your crap out..

HeyCliff
Heres a clone of 102, I built this one just recently!
The head cab is a TR style though from a great guy in So Cal that makes great cabs. I have a TR style 2x12 coming very soon, I will load it wit WGS ET-65's though.

Nice cab!

Who made it?

I brightened up the photo a bit so we can see the settings better.

I agree, the unfinished box is most likely a buffer.

His volume must have be very, very LOUD at those amp settings without the Dumbleator.
I'm surprised he has given up his TC Electronics 2290 unit.

But those G Labs reverb pedals are supposed to be very nice.
Made in Poland if you can believe that.
