My dumb question of the day,may have been covered before but may I ask again:

What does the .001 cap on the bass pot do? and also,what about the 10k on the tail?

AND what happens if you remove them?

1nF cap scoops the low mids a bit irrc.
The 10K tail resistor just sets the minimum amount of bass setting.

improves the mid control effectiveness while using 0,01 mid cap

you can go higher till 2-3nF before worsening treble response
