Sovtek EL34's never tried them as I thought they weren't very good?
Never tried the Mullard EL34's either.
Two new ones to add to my must try list.

Re: EL34's
I prefer the JJ E34Ls, which is not exactly the same, but even more robust, and a little tighter bass compared to the regular EL34s, IMO.
If I could afford them I'd buy the Winged C's, but I just can't justify the price. You said you sent some back. Why?

Are there amp issues that are negatively affecting tube life? I wouldn't call vibrations inherent to being in a combo as notoriously deleterious.

They developed a bit of mechanical noise -particularly when playing certain frequencies after a couple of monthsGaz wrote:I prefer the JJ E34Ls, which is not exactly the same, but even more robust, and a little tighter bass compared to the regular EL34s, IMO.

Re: EL34's
I ordered a matched pair of reissue Mullard (new sensor) EL34's yesterday. We'll see how these work out.
