Ange,

The edge control is the limiter on the Carlsboro 60TC or watts control on the Egnator Rebel 20.

This mod varies the current going across the grids of the PI tube.

Midpot

Post by angelodp »

Dscribbs, how did you handle the midpot setup, 25KL with a tail resistor? How did you hook it up.

Darin, just looking at your build, was wondering why you have those extra wires on the heaters? Or am I seeing things. Did you get your reverb up and running?

Mark is correct must be the reflection
having my shop walls redone...adding some soundproofing
family doesn't understand the "I need to feel the notes" volume setting
Will be fixing the reverb as per KT66 suggestions ASAP

I don't understand why you would need a MV on this amp?

Unless it is strictly being used as practice amp needing very low volume levels. Not much fun that way.

The guitar's volume knob allows going from clean to spankin.

Need to let those two EL84s chime through at about 2 to 3 pm on the dial that's where it starts sounding good.

Got my shop back together and
thanks to Ryan (KT66)
got my reverb working...nice and subtle
really liking this build...may change my 2 hole liverpool over to this
have some minor adjustments to make but so far this build
is one of my favs for sure...makes my pedals sound good
wish it made my playing better

Thanks again to Ryan Mark and Normster
and everyone else that shares info that feeds this addiction
on to the next...

Darin,

It's good to hear your enjoying your amp, the Rockets are great platforms and your right they do take pedals very well.

18 watts sounds darn loud doesn't it. :)

Glad to hear that you got your reverb working. Do you like the dwell feature ? I have an AT7 as my reverb driver, and it sounds good to me like that, so I haven't tried anything else. I find that I like to have the reverb on all the time even if it's mixed in just a little.

I made a clip that I am working on redoing because I rushed it, it's too long and has buzzy fret sounds. Here it is anyhow : http://www.soundclick.com/player/single ... 34252&q=hi
