Yea, i'm 90% on using the edcor pt. I'd like a multi tap secondary ot though and they dont have one. Hammond does, 4, 8, 16 with 7.6k primary, but it is 25w ... Does it matter if the output wattage is higher? I assume no, it will just run cooler?

Edit, maybe hammond 1650e it has 15w, 8k primary, and dedicated 4.8.16 taps. This with the edcor, but the extra shipping sux. I need to see if i can find a vendor that i'm ordering other stuff from, or rj is once again "the man"...

PT: Edcor XPWR107-120
120V, 60Hz. line to 600V (300-0-300) at 150mA center tapped and 6.3V at 4A

OPT(s): Hammond 1650E or 1615A
15W, 8k Primary impedance (1650E), 5k Primary (1615A), 100ma

Choke: dunno yet. Here's my layout so far (you might need to refresh). I would like the get the opinions of those here on two questions:

Any issues with the RED screen runs in relation to the BLUE plate leads?

Any issues with running the BLUE rail leads/droppingRs up higher 1/2 off the CC and the other leads on top of the CC under the blue rail leads?

Good stuff guy's

The wait list is unreal.

Joe Morgan is kicking out some killer amps.

Wonder if the DAG15 is like the x10.

Sniffyduke,

Micheal how you been? You need to poke your head out of the recording room once in a while.

No more amp builds?

Been working on a new record. doing accoustic demos.

I will send you a track via email.

Just bought a very rare matchless. Only 3 made.

Also, I got a Morgan Dual 20 from Joe Morgan.

www.morganamplification.com.

The only amps I want to build would be a Cowtipper 35
or a x10.

Other than that I am in search of the best fender blackface
sound.

Love to build a cowtipper or a carr rambler type
any fender.

Nik at ceriatone has a pretty cool Princeton kit.

I guess the cowtipper would be my amp to build but there is not alot
of info on it.

Did you do a Zwreck?

the cowtipper is a dead nuts blackface fender copy---single ch.---(no normal ch). build it and you're there. the only slight deviation is he subs in a 47k resitor to ground to make the trem pot load to the p.i. and also grounds the 220k summing resistor that would have come from the non-existant normal channel. you can make the 47k trem pot load switcheable for a boost (ala the old trick from the guitar player article decades ago). rh

Sniffyduke, yes I built the Zwreck very nice amp I like my tele through it, the LP really punches through.

Ryan (KT66) a TAG member posted this nice layout and schematic which would get the job done Michael.

That's great! I just happen to be thinking about something like that! Though I wound up getting a full chassis....

It's half of a Blackface Twin Reverb the good parts so that is as close as you can get I think.

If you don't want the reverb that can be eliminated.
