I promised the person that I bought it from not to show the internals of the amp, but will post a few more external pics later this weekend.

The amp is just incredible. Mr. Dumble was right on the money!

Hey! This is like telling a kid that "I've got candy" and then refuse to give it to him :)

Dont tell me you would ever send it back for service cause you will probably never see it again.

You made a promise? Isnt it your amp now?
What did you pay for it?
Geese if it was mine I would take all the goop off, if you ever need to service that thing you will be in trouble with the goop.

I would really like to show you the amp but I gave my word.

It has all goop, but I do service amps and will not have any problems fixing it. Anyway it is built like a tank and probably won't need much.

Paid a fortune, but the amp is worth it, they about double every 5 years, and my amp is in the sweet spot for serial numbers (#84).

The amp screams.

Sound clips later?

Do any of you know if there are many Dumbles outside the US? I only know about one in Norway, but it was sold to Sweden.

That amp was on ebay a couple of times.
Last time (last year) I asked a general question on condition (mods ect) and the seller offered to pull the auction and sell it for $3500 as a quick deal. Very dodgy.
Are you the same dodgy Seller?

No, I am not the seller from Ebay, he/she was taking pics from elsewhere on the net and posting them on ebay as his/her own amp. He/she was trying to scam folks.

I am the true owner of the amp not a fake. By the way if I was selling the amp it would be around $30K, but I am holding onto this amp as they are getting very hard to find.

I will say it is incredible.

O.K.
So what's your history with the amp? How did you wind up with it ?
Sorry, I find it interesting that someone joins an amp 'building' forum
dedicated to a specific build, fishes around for prices and flashes a photo of a particular amp that has a 'dodgy' history then refuses to show 'gut' shots claiming 'honour' as support. You don't find that a ' bit hard to swallow'?

What was before Overdrive Special, Just Overdrive?

Can someone explain the markings and history? Maybe that is already here somewhere? Like it was Overdrive then Overdrive special, did they all have Jazz rock switches? Deep switch? Is there a way to tell from the outside if the are HRM?

Doubling ..... I seriously doubt it will go to 60K, no one will give you a dime without looking inside, that one doesnt look too clean either. From what I understand Alexander dis-owns you if you even sell the amp so tell the guy the ship has sailed.
What will happen is Alexander will die cause last time I saw him at NAMM walking around like 4 or 5 years ago he looked bad, I heard his health is taking a down turn since then. After he dies, everyone will really ungoop all the amps and there will be copies galore, the prices will come down I think

I suppose it's OK to treat an amp as an investment and maybe it will double in price. Who's to say. But I don't think you have to be rich or famous to get the Dumble tone anymore. Gary and Andy have done a great job of providing the musical masses with some damn fine tone.

As for whether makrisp actually owns the amp or not, who cares?

Not likely that this is even close to accurate. 7 years ago they were going for $1500 or so, today $20K. The likelyhood that this will continue is tiny, in fact I believe they will go down in value in a few years when the market is flooded with Fuchs/2Rock etc.

Nice amp, but it's not an investment. JMO

You all love Dumble amps soo much, but I show you my all original amp and everybody is up in arms and calling me a liar.

I did not have to post, but I saw the enthusiasm and decided to show you the amp.

As you all know these are very rare and expensive. I have been offered $29K, but will not sell.

If I were to sell the amp, I would show the insides to the buyer, but not the whole world. It would not be fair to Mr. Dumble.
