That guys full of crap. For 325k he should be hand delivering that guitar instead of shipping it UPS. I should ask him if he'll ship it cod. When I worked at Thoroughbred Music in Tampa, Elliot would buy two plane tickets. One for the Tech and one for the guitar.

I've heard tale that sometimes these dead mint guitars don't always sound that good.
That could apply more to acoustic guitars than solid electrics but I know some of the old case queens were left in the case for a reason.

This one seems like it was bought new and put away.

One thing is for certain, I will never know what it plays like!

I read a great story years and years ago about two sequentially numbered Martin D28s that turned up at Mandolin Brothers at the same time. You could see that the tops had been cut from the same piece of spruce. One had been owned by a semi-pro in Southern California who played it regularly and kept it stored at constant humidity. The other went to a guy in Michigan who hardly ever played it and kept it under his bed where it got humid in the summer and dry as a bone in the winter. Restrung and set up in Staten Island, they sounded IDENTICAL. Go figure.

I have heard a similar story, which explains why there are a lot of Strats out there that are beat to crap, but play and sound great. They were chosen by guys who play a lot.

...And now for something completely different... A number of years ago a friend of mine was in the market for a Les Paul Deluxe gold top. He found a Nice one at Norm's for 1K ( a thousand dollars ) and put it on a credit card. He might as well have paid for it with a 1K resistor though, because the charge never showed up on his credit card statement.

Why do I get the feeling that someone at Norm's accounting/invoice department is going through their old records, at this precise moment, looking for a $1000 shortfall at point of purchase??
