Sample DXF or DWG format schematic

Post by surfsup »

Does anyone have a schematic of anything drawn in an engineering software that is a file format DXF/DWG?

I have a software (CAD) but it is not for electrical design. However if someone has something, I can save a ton of work by importing that and taking snippets for resistor/pot/caps, etc and not redrawing them all...

ah, maybe I'll just bite the bullet...

Here's two files you can pull some parts from for layouts and for schematics, I have been meaning to create a block library, but just haven't ever got there.

very nicely drawn files! Good work.

to: surfsup,
I don't think Ampgarage accepts a dxf or dwg file uploads.

By the way, did you try JSchem2 for amp schematics? There are nice little libraries there.
But, for amp layout I still prefer to use dwg format CAD - especially where every millimeter counts.

JSchem2 can never compare to a professional programme, yet I find it generates a look and feel that is easy for others to read.
But, if you are used to the power of professional CAD, JSchem2 may be very hard on the nerves. Plus, I could not get a jsch file to upload here either!

Best,
tony

guitarmike, those are great. I emailed you the dxf of the vibrachamp I was working on (I'm done now) but it seems you have all that already.

The layouts are great. Thanks so much. Do you have anything with an octal or a tube rectifier?

I'd like to do the CAD layout of the champ I'm going to build. I can post the completed Fender Vibrachamp if anyone wants it. I haven't filled in component values yet so its easy to edit to your liking...

Surfsup , Can you send me that file in a earlier version DXF, I cant open it otherwise. I am only running ACAD2004

I will see what else I have that would be usefull for others. most of my parts drawings come from 3d models

I can't seem to figure out how to post a link in a phpbb message to an externally uploaded file so I emailed it to you...

guitarmike, your layout components are very cool. 8) I know this took a lot of time to do. Very nicely done, and thanks!

Anyone have an octal tube CAD profile? I know the hole is either 1" or 1-3/16" depending on fender or belton, but I'd like the actual mounting bracket/sleeve, etc. I can't find one site that has the 2D profile of any octal. I wish I had a spare octal socket, i'd just measure it!

Heres another layout base file you can use the parts from

It has the white ceramic style sockets shown, 9 pin and 8 pin

guitarmike. This is nice too! Looking at the sections, it seems someone was using a solid modeler. Had to have been! Or that is a lot of 2D detail work! I was planning to go to solids with the champ layout I did as well. If these originated from a solid, mind sharing that? 8)

I already did the octal, etc. as per the DIY Champ Clone thread by RJ. Check the last page of that thread if you wanna see what I did for kicks...

Hi yes, it was all modelled in Pro-Engineer/Wildfire. I can export to IGUS if you like, that will import into most 3d solid modelling programs.
