That's too bad. He was one of the greats. His guitar alone was beautiful, let alone his guitar skillz. RIP Gary

That was completely out of the blue!

Who would have thought?

I liked the tones on his last album.
Yours Sincerely

Very sad day for me yesterday, I always treasured Gary's tones and talent.

Had the pleasure of sharing a pint with him a few years back after he played an amazing set at the Dick Heckstall-Smith memorial gig in London. He had just blasted through a bunch of Cream numbers with Jack Bruce on bass.

Those memories will be even more treasured now I know I won't meet him again in this life.

RIP Gary

Sad Mr. Moore’s tone on jailbreak was nice and crunchy at the time.

Was it stress?

Really loved GM's playing. Saw him three times live, once during the SGTB tour with the horn section. There were more guitar players in the audience than any concert I've ever been to.

RIP GM, you were great!

Sad to hear of Gary passing.

Have to say that reading the court documentation leaves me with no respect for Montrose. It's one thing to file a compliant for possession of stolen property and force the return. Quite another to sue for 37 years of financial loss.

I know Gary was having $$$ difficulties and had to sell the Peter Green Les Paul.

Legal sh%t never adds to ones lifespan

I think Ronnie Montrose was also sueing him over an old Les Paul.
