Thought the same thing, it's worth 3k for me to change a few resistors.
maybe it's worth it if you get the amp real, real, cheap and claim it's the smoothest amp you've ever played. I'm just joking.
I paid the same as anyone else would...... Same accusations I got with Two Rocks and Brunos. Give Shad a call for the price.
Tag. Now all you need to get is a amp switcher like; Lehle amp switcher
Or Radial Switchbone JX-2. It is rare for me to run just one guitar amp
Years ago Dave Haskell showed this trick to me back in 1985.

Same set up as always. Its the amp. Thanks for checking it out and I am glad you liked it.
I'm suprised that's the same recording setup. It's pretty smooth and none of those highend artifacts I usually hear on your stuff. You need to remember how you did it this time It's got that "thick" sound this circuit seems to get so well.

I like the Radial Switchbone JX-2 it has a mid boost that is out of this world.
Steve.
You know, I never thought of that??? And coming from me who used head switchers at ultrasound to compare all the TwoRocks and Brunos to the Dumbles! I think I am going to order one right away! I have to look at the prices. I can use one cab and switch the heads, correct? Any others I should look into? thanks for the idea and any other help!

PI and presence are like 183 now in this clip. V2(OD tube) is not the same - 120k 180K plates. 2 x 6L6. MusicMan iron. Nice sounding amp.
Thanks! Agree, very nice sounding amp and more importantly, some nice ideas in your playing!
Will let you run 2 heads into one cab. I use one for my gig rig. Clean head on one side, Dumble on the other. A bit tuff to get a balance between the 2 but once you do it's a thing of beauty.

If your good at something you do not do it for free. Simple as that.
You guys can talk smack all day long but you obviously do not have so much as a clue.
Not cool, not nice, not informed, not useful, and not worth my time.
:O)
Agree, even with the wink, its a VERY cheap shot just to put the idea out there with ZERO basis for it. IMO, its pure jealousy. Once again the FACT. I have nothing at all to do with Quinn amps other than thinking Shad is an honest, goodhearted, hardworking guy who makes some of the best sounding amps I have heard.
Plexi, Bold and Bob. Thanks for the info! I am going to look into all of them. I want the 1 cab, two heads model. I have an A/B/Y box I can use if I want to run 2 heads with two cabs and switch between, or use both setups. The problem is I want to use both heads into my 4/12 Mesa cab. Damn I love that thing!
Much good info provided regarding this build as a result of it's former owner providing it to a skillful builder for blueprinting. I am thankful to all involved for knowing what is in the guts of a great sounding example of a Dumble. I think the Quinn sounds damn fine. My comment of "nice sounding amp" was meant for Tag's amp. Poor placement of the sentence in my last post.......
I do have to comment on tiring of Politician as the repeated backdrop for hearing a great amp played by a very harmonically informed player. Tag, I'd be glad to dig you up another backer or even record one for you if you promise to shitcan that one. I don't mind hearing Politician tone over some other suitable musical backdrop.........
