Y2 class caps as tone caps? Anyone tried them?

I got some Y2 class paper caps ages ago, Evox-Rifa brand.
Bought em to try as tone caps but have just now got to it, as i had an issue i thought was a cap, and had run out of my K40Y-9 supply that the amp was built with, and i love the tone of.
Not strictly designed for signal, but i had read a few posts on the interwebs of hifi guys liking them, and theyre cheap enough here in Oz.
Amp is a 5E7 clone running a single 12 tho, and it sounds pretty great with the russky caps.
Dropped this little box cap in there, and fired it up. As its got 2 channels, its pretty easy to compare the mettalised paper cap against the russian paper/oil cap.
This amp may not be too fussy as the difference is tiny, if at all audible. Its as sweet in every way as the pio, the only thing is maybe a hair quieter. If that makes any sense. Just as rich and sweet. I only tried one .022 cap, im about to order the rest of the .1 caps to try them out too. Could be a good thing..
I allready use the Evox elytics and like them a lot. Could be the 1/8th swede blood in my veins...

You see X class on all new appliances on the incoming AC. I did a US to export power trannie change on a Crate a while back, which had them. I think most audiovisual gear has to have them by law.
what attracted me at first was that these ones are paper, and the brand i was familiar with.
The issue i was having, i thought may have been a leaky cap, and figured these are built to save lives and placed across the AC line in, cant leak?
Anyway, not sure how they dont pass AC from side to side, but they pass signal and sound good!

X caps are safety agency rated line to ground and are supposed to be non-shorting capacitors. Generally they are MKT and occasionally MKP.

Y caps are safety agency rated for line to line application and must fail open as well. (In Europe the lines can be delta or Y connected mains, and electrically this is equivalent to 230VAC line to line in the USA in that both sides of the line are hot to ground).

If not marked as PP (MKP) they are most likely PE (MKT). I've never seen Mylar (Polyethylene Terephthalate) used as X or Y caps.
