Merry Christmas and Happy New Year,
Can you guys tell me where you're buying your OTs? Am looking for Pacific or Heyboer OTs for a few projects - AC15 and perhaps a liverpool clone. I saw taweber.com, vibroworld (closed?) and a few others, but there isn't much tech. info out there.
One more thing that is puzzling: AC30 transformer data I have seen lists PP output pair load as 4K, while AC15 data shows 6200-6300 Ohms.
It seems as if the AC15 pair of EL84s should be loaded with 8K given the AC30 EL84 quad is loaded with 4K Ohms. Am I missing something?
1960 AC15 schem shows 8K PP plate load with 315V at C/T.
More modern AC30 schem shows 370VDC at C/T, but couldn't find ant OT impedance info.
Thanks,
rob

For general, one offs and Fender type stuff usually from Heyboer. While for Marshall type trannies, either Brian Wallace(Marstran) or Chris Merren(Merren Audio).

Re: Coupla questions on OTs
Super_Rev,
I have a dealer agreement with Heyboer, Edcor, and Pacific and have been offering many custom and guitar amp specific products to TAG members for cost or with very little markup. Currently it's not a business for income but a hobby for me. I buy transformers in quantity and pass a substantial savings along to the DIY community (primarily the TAG forum). Let me know if there is something that you need that is not available directly from any of the above mentioned vendors and I'll try to provide it for a discounted cost.

The TAG price is always going to be less than the WEB site indicates.
thanks,
rj
