To add to the conversation. IMO, based on the skill and tools available to the builder there really two types of chassis needed.

1. Everything pre-drilled, cut and painted for the builder who has limited access to tools and wants to use something like Jason's boards. In essense they are putting togther a kit.

2. A chassis with limited drills and cut outs. I'd prefer front and back panel as they are hard to drill straight. And power transformer cut out seeing that there's significant cutting involved. Leaving the board mounts, OT and choke to the builders choice.

Right now I'm building two amps in CE chassis. One with Jason's boards and one with my own. For the amp with my boards it would have been nice to cut the chassis to my needs versus building to match the cut outs on the chassis.

I also think there is a need for a 50 watt chassis and seeing that you are making that version is that a possibility?

I'd be interested in one or two chassis depending on cost.

Yea, for Marshall-style iron. Or, how about an option with four equally-spaced pre-amp sockets for the built-in loop crowd? The thing is, beyond Option 1, above, which is already covered by mdroberts/odourboy's CE chassis and Jason's boards, it can get complicated.

I'm one of those inboard loop fans, but I don't want to buy the software and have to go thru a huge learning curve to accomplish that. I barely have enough time to dream up projects and build them as it is.

Is there anyone out there who knows Solidworks and could change the three preamp holes to four?

Hi guys, so far I have 10 takers and enough who said they will take more than one if we get the 25 piece pricing such that if we get 7 or 8 more takers, then we should get the better price (about 35% price drop). The shop is shut down until the 3rd of Jan, so that's the earliest the build would start.
