Nice work..
A couple things I see..Axe the 47 pf bright cap on master
the 150k feeding the OD volume should be a 180K
No rotary switch on OPT taps just a 8 and 16
The schemo shows only 2 output tubes and would be nice to see all 4 for confusion sake..

very cool hope this helps.. We'll put it in the files section w/ layout when we get it ironed out..

Thanks.. Tony

Try again. I've tried to indicate pairs of everything in the output section.

[edit] I just fixed the presence cap.

OD trimmer should be 100kB
Screen resistors are 1k5

That looks like most of it first glance.. I'll take a deeper look after dinner..

Take Care!!

Hey thanks for your effort!:D

Maybe put a note in there that if you don't use the FET circuit, that you should put a 150K resistor to ground at the tail end of the power supply.
Just to keep things loaded right.

No Bright cap across the Master.

55kb trim should be 100K.

No rotary impedance switch used but that is of little matter.

1k5 screens as posted already. Looks good. Will look again as time permits.

Version 1.2:

talbany - please explain the OD Trim notes which seem to indicate that the pot isn't 100K.

[edit] Version 1.3 follows below.

The notes on the trimmer settings were taken from Shad's post here..(3rd from the last post)

https://tubeamparchive.com/viewtopic.ph ... c&start=15

"My notes indicate that I was getting 33K from the node of the trim pot and 220K and the wiper and 21.53 from ground. notes say OD IN"

So perhaps he can clarify better what he was seeing..

If I remember correctly the resistance readings will be somewhat lower from 220k and wiper with the amp on and in OD.. Like (10k lower) if memory serves... 33k sounds a bit on the low side unless the pot had a different taper..Log

Sorry for confusion on this.

Trimmer is 100K The wiper is about 22K above ground when in OD mode.

No idea what I was trying to write on that thread.

100K trim set 22K above ground or better yet IMHO is to set to taste.

Just a quick question on the dropping string
is it 3k,22k,22k or is the last resistor 2.2k

Seems like a big drop for a high plate

Last resistor is 2.2K

It goes 3K to PI 22k V2 and 2.2K to V1

In the original 183 the last 2 stages/nodes are backwards in that of the layout!.. I did this one since Jason a member here makes these precision PS style boards.. You can find them here

What I took from Shad's earlier post was the eyelet where the 220K and 100K trimmer are joined is 33K from ground.
Then from the wiper to ground was 21.53K with OD relay on.

Most all DC voltages are measured from the component or solder joint to ground or earth.
So black probe clipped to chassis and red probe in one hand, other hand in pocket or away from chassis.

AC voltage is of course different.

This is of course for the less experienced among us.

k...version 1.3

I believe that when Gil and others have given trimpot readings (from 124) they removed the pot. I'm going to assume that Shad didn't, so those readings are in-circuit with other components loading the reading.

Jay..

Looks great.. Hope you don't mind I added the relay supply..Everything else looks OK to me.. Once again nice job and Thanks!!
