serial to parallel D-Lator

Post by grtamp »

Hi , I build this D-lator in my amp but I'd like try the parallel mode.
some suggestion for this?
I seen some schematic with parallel mode but are bit different from mine( recovery side ) and I don't want change too my wiring or add other components!

Thanks

I haven't built this yet but plan to start on it tomorrow. Check for errors, but this is how I am going to approach the parallel/series FX.

You need to implement the '0' in order to get the parallel mode working. Which is in the diagram in teh files section.

Regarding the reverb implementation, I would implement it in parallel with the other effects, unless you want reverb'ed echo's

this way:

When both switches are on the preout feeds the loop in and the loop out returns to the amps "Reverb" switch which then routes the signal to the reverb in and the reverb out comes back to the poweramp in. This method puts tank reveb on the FX, but if you wanted reverb first you could switch the connections (the switches would be labeled wrong).
Sometime back Heisthl did something similar. The quote above is from his post:

https://tubeamparchive.com/viewtopic.ph ... ght=reverb

I am going to try it with the effects going into the reverb instead of paralleled first. I can easily change it.

I think what bluesfendermanblues is saying, is that you need to establish a floating ground or 0 voltage point for the splitter in parallel mode.

Did you see this layout in the files section?

It is untested, at least by me.
I intend to modify my D'later to this sometime in the future.
I wonder if anybody has made one using this layout?

Because there are several differing schematics shown for parallel mode, could someone indicate which of these is correct ......OR edit one that show a correct parallel mode, please?

All three of these came from posted schematics, so I am not sure which is accurate?

Hey thanks!

Not interested in reinventing the wheel. I was looking at another TAG thread that did not have your schematic on it & instead was posting conflicting schematics.

Thank you! Your help is appreciated.

I built the D Lator and modded it to parallel with the help of members on here.
I can switch it back but I never have yet.
The parallel is so transparent, but the D Lator works more as a mixer in this mode.
