A lot of reading on your behalf!dunning-kruger wrote:....so what will it take.

Seriously, make a search for BM or Bluesmaster and read the posts. Also take a thourough look at the Tony's bluesmaster layout in the 'files' section.
A lot of people have spent a lot of time experimenting with these amp designs and afterwards documenting same on this forum. Pay a little respect to that by reading the relevant posts.
Then come back and ask a lot of questions.
Diva or not? - Respect for Mr. D's work....)

Not sure of your skill level but back when I got into tube amps I probably read the threads on this forum for six months before starting on a build.
I first built a kit amp, the D'lite from Brown Note which is a 50w ODS.
If you can afford one that is a good first build because somebody else did the sourcing of the parts.
But right now, I'm not sure of the status of the Brown Note guys.
They were having shipping problems a while back.
Recently I built a 100w from scratch and it was a real chore ordering all the parts that I needed from the various vendors.
If you are in a hurry, perhaps this is not the amp for you.
It is a fairly complex amp to build and there is a lot going on in it.
If you rush it, it most likely will show in the way the amp looks and sounds.
It takes a lot more than just looking at a layout.
You should study the amp you want to build and figure out what makes it sound the way it does and the peculiarities that make it unique.
That means reading all the files about that amp and understanding the evolution of it.
Do you have a chassis for your project yet?
Transformers?
Circuit boards?
Do you know what type of caps and resistors are necessary for the build?

Re: HRM bluesmaster....OTS S&M whats the diffrence.
i dont have circut board or transformers or anything like that.
i dont know lick about making amps. my friend does he wants to make the build i want to watch listen and observe....and be a good assistant.
he has built tube amps before...he just wants another project to entertain him and he wants me to have a nice amp as well.
all i really want right now is the schematic for a HRM100 bluesmaster.
thats what he and I want to build after looking at diffrent mesa's and vox'es we settles on a mesa build but changed our minds as soon as we heard the HRD bluesmaker clips.

Even though your friend has built amps before, you should have him read the information here.
There is more to building a Dumble than just looking at a schematic.
If you want it to sound like a Dumble then you have to understand what's going on in the amp.
This section wouldn't have the amount of pages it has if there weren't a lot of discussion about these amps.
There are basically four or five Dumble amps that the guys build here.
The Overdrive Special. That can have variations like low plate, high plate, built in reverb or Dumbleator.
Then the HRM, (Hot Rubber Monkey) with the second tone stack on the OD section. There are some other differences as well.
Then the HRM Bluesmaster which also utilizes the second tone stack but has some other important differences than the regular HRM.
You picked the most complex amp of all of them to build.
There isn't a huge amount of information on this amp.
So first you should use the search function and read up on everything pertaining to the amp.
The Files section will have the schematic and layouts.

Re: HRM bluesmaster....OTS S&M whats the diffrence.
thanks alot man.
me and my friend will definately take a visit back here once we get together he will definately be asking alot of questions.
i saw some guy on one of the other boards who posted schematics on a thread for HRM 102 schematics. i read in there that it was good for the HRM 100 bluesmaster.

Look for a post by erwin_ve
Also the post following by woodshed and the one following that by mcinku.
Print yourself a copy to read at leisure.
Then come back here and read the stickys in the "Dumble files"
Tony Albany, with help from other members, has put a lot of work into those stickys for which we all owe a debt of gratitude.
