BTW guys, that pilot light was a Radio Shack Score.
They are made for 12v DC.
They have red, yellow and green. Fit right in the hole.
It has a resistor already in it so you don't need to add one.

They also have this style with a flat nose.

Best of all, $1.99

I use those in my footswitch too - all 3 colors. Red=OD, yellow=PAB, green=mid boost. On one amp I put them on the front panel as well, so they light up on the amp when they also light up on the footswitch. Kinda cool.Structo wrote:BTW guys, that pilot light was a Radio Shack Score.

Wife: How many amps do you need?
Me: Just one more...

Re: High Plate Skyline 100 Watt ODS
I just happen to see those last week at Radio Shack but didn't pick any up.
Tom, I think you need more stuff in your rack. Why stop now?

Excellent build man!

Hehehehe, it's a sickness as we all know.
Bluesmanfenderblues (Claus) reminded me that I should let the dust settle and the components break in a while until I start changing too much.
I did that on my D'lite and chased my tail in a complete circle ending back with 101 values.
It does sound pretty good.
I got a quad of new Tung Sol 6L6 STR's yesterday.
I've wanted to try those.
I wish I had a dummy load so that I could run some signals through it while it sits there.

Thanks Tom! haha
I just know these amps can change a ton after putting the hours in on them. So many components, lots of variables.

Re: High Plate Skyline 100 Watt ODS
Chris, do you have to play them or is it enough that they are on in play mode? I don't want to wear out my old blackplate RCAs but I have lots of Shuguang 6L6GCs I got from Lord Valve for $19 a pair.

Connect it to your iPhone and put "Politician" on repeat.

Re: High Plate Skyline 100 Watt ODS
I wonder how loud you have to play the amp to break it in?
Yesterday I had a loop playing through it at a comfortable listening level.

I got those same pilot lights (Mode brand) from Electro Sonic at
www.e-sonic.com for 0.883 cents each with $7.91 shipping from Canada to USA.
I thought I was getting the larger Mode lights like the TWs use but these are the small ones like Radio Shack carries.
