I am hooking up the P/T for my Bandmaster 5e7 build and have 7 wires left I don't understand... I have an orange... red/green stripe... brown white/stripe..... brown (which I assume goes to on/off switch.... red black/stripe.... black (ground ??)..... black white/stripe.....
I should add 120v electric
I am confused on the drawing for the P/T???

Orange is the electrostatic shield. Tie that one to the chassis.
Red/Green is a bias winding tap (something like 50-90V from the centre tap).
Brown should be tied to Black and capped off with heatshrink.
Brown/White should be tied to Black/White and that forms the cold input from the mains
Red/Black forms the hot input from the mains.
If you're using a single-pole mains switch then the power lead should come in and the hot wire will go to the fuseholder, then to the power switch and then to the Red/Black wire. The Cold lead will go direct to the Brown/White and Black/White pair.

On Nik's diagram you've got a Live and Neutral coming from the IEC socket.
The neutral (cold) wire goes to both the Brown/White and Black/White wires.
The live (hot) wire goes to the fuseholder, then the power switch and then to the red/black wire.
The Red/Green wire is the 50V bias tap shown on Nik's diagram.
The neutral (cold) wire goes to both the Brown/White and Black/White wires.

Basically the orange, the green and yellow and the red and yellow wires will all go to the chassis together on the same connection. These are your electrostatic shield, heater center tap, and your secondary HT center tap.
The yellows are for your 5V rectifier tube.
The two greens are for the heaters.
The green and red is Bias voltage. (Yes, the one that ties to the board)
The two reds are your HT.
The two red and white wires are not used and should be individually heat shrinked and secured.
Tie the brown/white and the black/white wire to the (N) Nuetral side of your 120V IEC socket.
Tie the Red and Black wire to the (L) Load side of the IEC socket.
Here are some attached pics to help illustrate.
The yellows are for your 5V rectifier tube.
The two greens are for the heaters.
The green and red is Bias voltage. (Yes, the one that ties to the board)
The two reds are your HT.
