Wavering indictor light
My indicator light on my Ceriatone DC30 for lack of a better term wavers. It dims slightly at times. It doesn't blink on /off just dims and brightens???? what's up??

Re: Wavering indictor light
Does it do this while you play? Does it dim more when you turn it up and play big chords?
Re: Wavering indictor light
I've noticed similar behaviour on 3 different amps in the past couple weeks.
My MusicMan 50, which has a neon lamp, has grown dim and flickers, even going out for periods of time just to come back on dimly and flickering.
Another same chassis MM has a solid bright pilot. I attribute this to age as the first has more hours on it and neon bulbs age and wear out if
they're run at moderately high current for brightness. When run at or below their rated spec a neon should last nearly indefinitely.
2 other amps, a Twin and an O'Brien, have standard Fender type incandescent bulbs. Both were flickering randomly, and didn't seem to follow the music.
I didn't troubleshoot these but it may be the solder blob on the bayonet tip that's developed some resistance. I'd just replace the bulb but you may try
lightly sanding the contact or reflowing it with fresh solder.

The layout for that amp shows an incandescent lamp.
Sounds like it has an intermittent contact.

Thanks Guys, Didn't know if it was indicative of a power supply issue...
Re: Wavering indictor light
The pilot light is run off of the filament winding.
You could always hook up your volt meter to the terminal strip where the wire are anchored to see if the voltage is actually wavering or if it's the lamp fixture that needs help.
