Weather stripping near Pre-Amp valves?

Post by JamesHealey »

Anyone actually know what the purpose of this is? I assume it's for some kind of stability reason?

I mean for instance siliconing the Bright caps together is a deffinate help with oscilations and I do this myself.

So im gonna go stick some weather stripping into the chassis i've got a replica of a bud chassis so i assume what ever reason Ken did this for I should do it too.

ideas ?!

Vibration damping?

[edit] the bud chassis are pretty thin, so my guess is that they probably are prone to succumbing to vibration when put to the test by a 4x12 in full battle rage[/edit]

It can really help with microphony by damping the chassis.

Dynamat works really well.
