Accutronics 4BB3C1D tank. What kind of reverb I should do?

Post by Dingleberry »

Hi.

I got a working Accutronics 4BB3C1D tank for free from my friend.
I was thinking to build a reverb unit around it and use some was thinking to make it tube driven. The main question is, What kind of tube circuitry could drive that 150 ohm tank?

I saw one SRPP driver stage in walvewizard's site. Anyone experienced with that? What tube would be good to use in the SRPP configuration?
I've already made one fender type external reverb unit and I would like to make something a bit different this time. That ampeg "hall"- reverb tone I actually have on my mind.

using the Valve wizard formula for a 150R tank input transducer load., I get:

180R resistors for a 12AT7; or

470R resistors for a 12AU7

Both of which would have good BW, (but maybe the 12AT7 would have more gain). Simple enough circuit to set up and experiment with different tubes and resistors
