What glue should i use to glue the caps on to the chassis?

If you are talking filter caps, I use good ole GE silicone.

Is that just a silicone sealant?

I work for a Plumbers Merchant so that would be very easy for me to get hold of if that's the case.

You should use non conductive 100% pure RTV silicone.

FYL is correct as usual.

A lot of sealants release ammonia as they cure, which can corrode stuff in your amp - you can tell it because it smells bad.

This clear Loctite Non-Corrosive RTV is excellent. I found some at a better price at a welding supply place, but I can't locate it right now:
