Opinions/knowledge of Russian 6P3S
I just bought a couple of 6P3S to stick in one of my 5f6A derivatives. I'm trying to find info on the max plate dissipation. (I can't read the datasheet - its all in Russian - see attachment - which I scanned). I guess I should bias it like a 6L6G for now. (i.e.: assume its a 19W max tube?) Anyone got any better guesses? (They seem to be holding out okay so far biased at 13.6W)

FWIW one of the other guys at ampage pointed me to this handy eng translation

I built a bass amp with these tubes, and they were totally cool. Max dissipation is around 20W, they seemed happy biased at around 13W with that amp having about 410 volts on the plates. They did make all kinds of creaking and pinging noises when heating up and cooling down though.

Next time try to find 6P3S-E version, E stands for militar use, it's long life tube, and better than standard. Remember that normal 6P3S is like 6L6, while 6P3S-E is 6L6GC, in most datasheets you will find max V for both about 250V, but many people use them with much higher values (good replacement for Fender amps). In amp that I've got on desk currently is 430V on anodes, and I used 6P3S-E.
PS. I've seen many pictures where those 6P3S-E were sold in US as 6L6GC, only rebranded

Maybe you'll need to watch the screen voltage on these to get them to perform well. As plate voltage climbs, you'll want to look for some difference between plate and screen.

Thanks Phil. I have 5W 470R screen grid resistors on them, and they aren't biased that hot (but I will hook up a couple of meters and check it out).
