Here is a couple small clips of JP taking delivery on his 40 watt Baby blue X-Model VVT..His amp head weighs 16lbs..All PCB.. HRM High Plate TAD Short Bottles about 470 on the plates..

Very very nice. You can see his excitement when he switches from clean to overdrive in the second video.

Have you tried the Tungsol short bottles? Tung-sol 6L6GC-STR.

I like the TS short bottles as well my 2 faves!!.. We get a better deal on the TAD's and buy them by the bulk so that's what I used.. Also the TS reissue 5881's are also a nice sounding tube in that amp.. Jack likes his headroom on the clean channel for the Jazz type stuff so we stick with 6L's
