Transformer orientation

Post by 67plexi »

I had a bad power transformer in my first build twin type. I striped the amp today
What I have on hand is Marshall JTM45 set, 1202-118 power, 784-103 output, and choke.
My problem is the Marshall power transformer is wound 180 degrees different from a fender power transformer
Will the magnetic flux induce noise on the stock transformer layout per Dumble style chassis?
Should I get a fender 125p7d-022814 power transformer bandmaster/ bass man type?
Or will the Marshall iron work? Next the choke the stock jtm45, c-199 and I have a fender 22699.

Thank you, Steve.

The major flux density will be vertical with a laydown PT, so above and below your amp.

As Tony said, it should be fine.
