Virtually all Joann stores carry a brass 1/8" eyelet that is almost exactly the same as the Keystone eyelets.

Take a look at you local scrabbooking store, they all have eyelets of various sizes and the tools to set them. Cheap

Hoffman charges $14 minimum for shipping to Canada.
Hi all,
Just noticed this thread.
Don't want to hijack or advertise, but just in case someone needs a source for 1/8" thick G10 board material.

I ship board to Canada and all over the world every day.
Actually, it's only $13 for a flat rate envelope shipment to Canada and Mexico.
$15 for the rest of the world. $6.95 for the US.

But, the board can be no longer than 12 inches to fit in the FR envelope (Flat Rate Envelope)
And, I can't ship anything tall or crushable with a 12" piece of board.

If I stick a tube socket or pot in there, it would be destroyed.

I can ship flat, non-crushable items in the FR enevelope with the board material.
Turret lugs, eyelets, standoffs, switches, wire, knobs can all be put in with the board material.
Non polarized small caps like sprague, mallory, Xicon are good to go also, but I would not ship a electrolytic can cap like a sprague 20/500v without it being in a box.

The way I normally ship parts using the Flat rate envelope is to put all the parts in a small box and then put that in the FR envelope. I can't do that with a piece of board longer than 9 inches, but a ton of small parts fit in a small box/FR envelope.

I have a ton of info with pictures of the shipping containers here.

Is there an eyelet or turret board version for the FET board rather than PCB?

For the #124 layout/schematic Tony and Martin have posted.

Martin, thanks I was trying to stay away from the Ceriatone but why reinvent the wheel I guess.

Sometimes I wonder why I didn't just get a Brownnote or Ceriatone kit and save myself from the parts chase headaches. :)

FET eyelet board

Post by ToneMerc »

Made this FET board yesterday based on the Ceriatone layout. I'm going to mount it in the rear corner of the chassis.

About the only thing I have on the FET is this layout, which I believe is really for a PCB.

This is the layout from the little ExpressPCB project I did... never tested. The files are attached somewhere... attached again here.

70s style!

Where are you getting the smaller (diameter) 1/8" eyelets?

Mouser, I used 3 sizes, .093 long as the board is 1/16" thick.

large: 1/8" x .093 #534-43
med: 3/32" x .093 #534-33
sm: 1/16" x .093 #534-23

I also use the 1/16" x.093 for the relay sockets and 3/32" for the outboard connections..

I see some of you posting that you get eyelets from craft stores.the only ones i can find have some type of plating or finish on them that solder doesnt bond to.is there a major chain of stores in the US that sells eyelets like I need for a board?

Why not just get them from Mouser or Hoffman Amps?
