OT: My New Rig

Like it ? SWEET....

Actually NOT mine, and a round of snaps to the first who can identify which well-known 60's guitarist really did use this set-up.

Saves you a lot of bread, no need to pay for a horn section.

The pickguard is a dead giveaway. fwiw, I'm surprised Santana doesn't cover Fresh Air. It's right up his alley and hardly anyone's going to remember the original.

So I checked out "Fresh Air". Cool song.

It looks like Gary Duncan is using that same guitar in 1971. Does that mean that John Cipollina bequeathed it to him, or was it band property? I am so confused...

I read where he had crossovers for the different frequencies. Solid state for the lows, Twins for highs and the horns for super high. John Cippollina on the first album and Happy Trails was one of my top favorite players. Used fingerpicks! How did he get that "liontamer" growl-whip sound on THE FOOL?

I'm going to go look for that song, but my guess before hearing it is that he gives his reverb tank a whack with a foot or a hand. I've always found that fun with my old Traynor YGL-3a.
