Where to find more lively control knobs?

Post by Tonegeek »

I need knobs for my Twin to non-HRM conversion. Not doing chicken heads this time. I am ready for something new and exciting, maybe with some color. The size needs to be ~3/4" or ~(21mm) with just a marker line. Need to fit 1/4" shaft with a set screw or collet.

Most are for 1/4" shafts.

I had a little trouble buying knobs there before.
I had ordered six knobs of a certain style and size for a crazy new fuzz pedal I was building.
They sent the right style but the bigger size than I ordered.
I emailed them and they said they would send out the correct ones.
They told me to keep the first ones which was nice but when I got the second shipment, they were different yet!
So I had to laugh at that, cut my losses and order elsewhere.
Not sure what happened, probably somebody new on the parts pulling or something.

I figured most of thier stuff was for 1/8" shafts but you don't really know becuase they don't give all the specs. I guess I should email them.
I have ordered from them before. Nice people.

for one amp project

A lot of the times the cheaper knobs are metric sized.
You can drill to accept a 1/4" shaft.

Be sure to back off or take out the set screw.

I like this slip clutch one:

Goes well with the government issue $400 toilet seat and the $60 hammers :D
