Hey guys sorry for no reply. I had the software set to let me know when there were replies to this thread but for some reason it is not working. I have been busy and will gladly answer your questions soon.
Some things that I do remember is yes I built the amp. It is the 3rd one.
High plate, non HRM. There is also a treble bleed on the back which works very nicely. Preamp out and power amp in are on the front of the chassis. OT is a Heyboer that was custom wound to either Silverface or Blackface Bassman specs. I had 5 or 6 wound a few years ago, special with 4-8-16 taps when Heyboer was not so high and mighty and would accept small custom orders. Today they won't even talk to you and blow you off to Mojo. However that is a separate topic.
I think the cabinet is poplar?
Dlator is in a Hammond 17x10 chassis that I either bought from Mouser or CE Dist (Antique Elec)
Originally a customer bought the amp and sold it back to me a year later at a loss to him obviously. He then purchased a 100w Bluesmaster that I had built for myself. He thanks me for selling it to him every time we speak. Amp originally had no channel switching which I added later on.

Jack,
That's one big chassis. I see why you used it. What voltage are you getting on the plates and what tubes are you using?

On the Blues King I used a Hammond 290FX power transformer. I did not keep a log of the voltages although I do know I followed the suggested voltages for the pre amp and PI adjusting the dropping string as necessary. All JJ tubes. The large chassis made the layout easier.Drumslinger wrote:Jack,

Output transformer is a Hammond 1750R
