Note it's a 1" voice coil. Weber has similar for the same price. It looked appropriately/historically dinky for the 5b3 schematic. I want to try one but the resale would be hard if I didn't like it.

Easiest thing to do is daisy chain a couple of Zener diodes together in the HT CT ground and just drop the voltage down to what you want.

You could put two 15 volt/ 5 watt zener diodes in series(one after the other) in the Center tap lead of the output of the power transformer and then go to ground with it..The CT is generally a red with yellow strip wire on a lot of transformers. This will drop the transformer voltage about 30 volts.

Hmmm. 6L6's like to see a 5K to 6K pri (not 8K) and need a larger OT, they draw more current, but you might be OK.

So I replaced the shared output tubes cathode resistor with a 360 Ohm 10 Watt piece and now my dissipation is down to 11 W. Amp still sounds good. Thanks again for everyone's help.
