Lots of questions now...but:

When I compare the schematic and the layout, there seems to be something different in the relay circuit.

On the schematic, the two 5V secondaries are conneted to one point at the bridge each. Then a third point from the bridge goes to the 5V regulator.

But on the layout, all four lugs on the brigde seems to be used so I'm having a hard time figuring out how to do this...

Thx for noticing. The layout is correct, the schematic has a mistake. I'll fix that and repost.

I'm also wondering if I can wire my footswitch to ground/de-ground the relay coils, or if they need to be isolated from ground.

They need to be isolated from ground to prevent noise from getting into the signal chain. I tried grounding it and the hum was terrible.

Damn nice bob... i wanna build this thing.. cept with switches instead of relays.. not big on foot switchs myself.. and relays always go bad for me:) Now to figure which princeton to gut:)

Don't go gutting a perfectly good Princeton . Buy a chassis from Mojotone of Weber and some xformers from AES and build from scratch.

Naw...my princetons have been gutted for years.. one has 50watt traynor iron.. and 2 el34's... other was made into a cali dreamer that is horribly bad.... just amazingly bad even for me.. probably redo that one:) mallory 150's also... bad all around:)
