Um yeah.....we've fellas in my union retiring in their 40's and collecting near six figures a year. I'm not talking about officers. These are guys that simply worked the hours. How the hell can a pension fund stay solvent when folks are getting pay raises by retiring???

I almost wish the feds would step in and gut the plan while I still have time to rebuild a new retirement.

I'm thinking my failing pension fund should start investing in durable goods like this amp......

Better yet, how about creating some fancy financial device that will allow one to bet, er I mean "invest" in the potential future collective value of this stuff!

Man, I got a letter the other day from my union saying our pension fund is in a critical state.
I'm about 10 years from retiring......

Hopefully the president will start working on the economy before then.

I remember how the economy was strong before Bush Jr.; not so much during or after his presidency. Obama has some work to do after 8 years of Bush regime robbery. I hope he grows bigger balls and stops catering to people who have their own pockets open at the expense of others. Too bad Bush and company catered sooo heavily to those types. I knew that group was as screwed up as they could get when the first thing they decided to destroy was the Veterans Administration, and then they jumped into any war as fast as possible and failed to protect the soldiers. It was all about making their big bucks off of the military industrial complex at the sole expense of the taxpayers i.e. blue collar Americans. They cared zilch about the soldiers and the average American, and even less about people who got in their way.
