By putting the resistance on just one leg, it would unbalance the CT, which would cause hum (maybe not huge amounts, admittedly!). Best option would be to put a resistor in series with each end of the heater coil, as Sergio seems to have done.1 2R2 resistor is enough.

I built 4 dlator units with the same tranny and a 2R2 resistor in serie with the filament.. Never had any hum issue.Guitarman18 wrote:ervin_ve wrote:
