TW with 36W OT?
Anybody build an Express, Liverpool, or Rocket with the Heyboer 36Watt OT (HTS-7013-1)? If so, which model, and how did it come out? (it's a 4K primary, fwiw)
Re: TW with 36W OT?
I think Billy Yates has done this James. I am not sure what transformers though.

Re: TW with 36W OT?
surely would be just more vox like. and less definition. the wreck rocket has more definition i believe compared to ac30. could be complete nonsense thought as i've just had half a bottle of whiskey lol
Re: TW with 36W OT?
Different lam stack, different steel, different impedance, etc. It will sound more Marshallesque than Vox like. There will be less dampening since the reflected impedance is closer to the load, as well this gives you more output. I'm sure it will sound fine as I have done this in an 18watt vein.

your Heyboer 36Watt OT
will sound good id you missmatch it . do that and raise the impedance to 8k
a smal OT will sound good in a trainwreak ,

Are you wanting to use a quad of EL84 tubes with this Heyboer OT?
The reason I ask is I have a schematic for a 36w Plexi using that transformer.

Re: TW with 36W OT?
that was for a 36 watt marshall 18 amp. Amp had an 18 watt channel and a TMB channel. I asked Phil at heyboer about an OT that was similar to the 18 watter, only bigger and for 4 EL84s instead of 2. And this is the OT he suggested. I also used the Heyboer standup AC 30 version transformers, and liked that OT a bit better.
