I'm wondering if anyone has tried a James tone stack or a 5E3 tone stack instead of the Marshall type in the HRM schematic?
And if so ....... how did it sound?
Using the Duncan Tone Stack calculator, one can get close to a Marshall tone using a James Tone stack.

Re: Alternative D tone stacks
Agreed. However, the tone stack does work as I had drawn it.Nothing to add but that Tweed control is drawn wrong afaik.
Has anybody tried either of these in the OD?

Re: Alternative D tone stacks
In my HRM I have a PCB that switches between the typical Marshall stack and also a Fender stack. I have yet to test the amp, will let you know if your interested though.
Re: Alternative D tone stacks
Sure, I'd be interested in hearing how you like that.
