I've made quite a few Wreck based amplifiers now and none of them we're 100% accurate, I don't believe copying something identical to the point of obession.. It's great to be able to and to find out the formula but I'll tell u now if u copy the schematic & layout identically it won't sound like an original.

You gotta find what u like with your own ears and fine tune it, if that's using solid core vs stranded.. or Sozo Coupling caps rather than Orange Drops.

Or changing the 2n2 cap to 3n3, 4n7, 5n6 etc.

Tried using 47nF on the PI rather than 22nF?

Tried using a mixure of Polyproplene vs Polyester caps? Maybe a 500pF Ceramic cap rather than Mica?

It's endless I've tinkered beyond all belief with this kind of stuff and I agree with Ken about peoples hang ups with OT's and stuff u can make just about any OT sound good if you spend enough time with it and tweak it.

Or you can copy the 'right' schematic perfectly and every single aspect of Kenny's design might work for you :)

How does Brad Paisley play his Liverpool? I have a pic of his settings (all between 11:30 and 1:00). Mine's a flamethrower that way. He must have his guitar down since it's modern Country.

He goes through so many effects and presumably some kind of head switcher so he may have his level dialled down to suit the Liverpool at any point through the chain.

He has a whole rack drawer or thereabouts just for his delays, I remember from seeing pics of his rig before!

I can't see the Liverpool really being his kind of amp, but I guess that when the couple came up for sale and they weren't Rockets he jumped on one anyway because it's EL84-based.
