That is one of the best presentations I have seen! The integration is awesome!

I appreciate it, Danny. But the majority of the cudos for implementing this reverb circuit goes to Normster here on the forum. His was the first post I saw that put a reverb in a Rocket build. I contacted him about it, to which he was more than gracious to reveal his secret sauce. I've used it twice now, and with great results.

I love the faceplates. Can't wait to hear it.
Thanks marcoloco961. I'm looking forward to getting the amp back to my house for some jamming and a bit of recording. Hopefully this week.

rawnster,
Thanks for the schemo. I dig the dumbly mid boost switch.

The face/back plates are six kinds of awesome, dude. You've definitely raised the bar on amp aesthetics.

Ron,

Real nice work. I think you have raised the bar for all of us a bit. I can recall when you used to ask all those questions and really dig for the details. It seems it paid off and perhaps it's time to upgrade your robe to the "Master Craftsman" colors.

For those who have not heard the Rawnster Rocket clips, they are a treat. Maybe he will not only bless us with a link but also add some clips with this amp as well.

thanks rfgordon. I was a little nervous about faceplate at first, thinking it would look a little corny. But the acid dude did a great job. It's got a cool aged look to it. I know this sounds cliche, but it really does look better in person than what the pics reveal.

the "dumbly" mid boost is nice, in that, it pushes a somewhat clean sounding amp into some nice grind when cranked. I may update this amp to put the mid boost on a footswitch. Anyway..........

Hey RJ, I'm sponging info as much as possible. :-) This forum is fantastic for getting help when needed, and for many of you being extremely patient with novices like myself. Thanks for the kind words toward this build. I can shoot more pics of the guts if needed. However, it's just a Rocket with big balls.

Here's the link to the clips I made of the last big bottle rocket that was completed a couple of months ago:

The only real difference in the recorded clips and this new amp is different powertubes. The recordings at that link use KT66's. This new build uses KT77s. I'll get some new clips made soon.

It's great to see the positive feedback on the amp. Ron did a great job building the amp and I would agree that he is now advancing into a great amp builder.

I have done a lot of faceplate designs so it was nice to collaborate with him and make a custom artistic amp for myself.

Nothing like a beautiful amp that sounds amazing ... a great result from a cool collaboration between friends. Looks like I will need to take it back to him so he can record some clips.
Okay, okay ... it sounds cool, but does it look cool?

Anything off "The Wall"!

Seriously though, great job Rawnster! The clips you posted on your last build are right in line with what I'm looking for. Can't wait to hear this'n.

Really inspiring stuff here.
