D-lator in amp head - parallel version - info wanted
I've read that people have put their d-lators in with the dumble amp, but the only files I've found are for an external version. I'm not sure why you would want the external version over an internal version, as there aren't many parts and you avoid an extra transformer.
If there is any info here that I haven't found yet, please help me out. I'm trying to modify the #124 layout to add the d-lator, but if someone has already taken care of that for me, I'd love to see it.

Re: D-lator in amp head - parallel version - info wanted
I just put one in my new build mentioned just below (6V6 build). Most of the circuitry I put on terminal strips around the tube socket with some direct connections to the pots. There is a pic of the socket with the strips around it in my thread. A few of the components I put on the board, but if I was trying to put this in an existing chassis I would work it out for an all-terminal-strip install. You do need a separate power supply node for the D'lator. You cannot share a PS node with the rest of your circuit.
Where are you in the process? Do you have a chassis w/ 4 preamp sockets?

I thought I read here that guys were tapping off the screen supply node for plate voltage of a built in D' lator?

Yes, but with its own filter, right?

I have these two.
I think at least one if not both are from Henry.

Henry ( Heisthl) has a few schems posted in the files section with built in Dlators, some with reverb also. I'm about to begin #124 w/ Dlator in a silverface Bassman and the schem below is basically Henry's with component changes to make it like 124. I also changed his Dlator values to match the standard ones just so I wouldn't be copying him too much, but I do not know why his were slightly different. I also added the 220K/250p network from 124's send/return jacks on a switch just for fun. My layout is below also, but untested or critiqued. I think it's been stated before that the loop jacks should be isolated.
Hope this helps.

And be prepared to put a 500K trim in series with a 0.001 uF cap across the input of the 'Ratio'/overdrive volume pot in order to reduce some of the highs in the 124 OD.

I was unable to find a schematic from heisthl with the d-lator and reverb built in - any chance you remember where it is an could link me? But really what I'm interested in is a layout to accompany the schematic. It makes building the amp so much easier to not have to do your own layout work, especially on an amp this complicated.
I have a blank chassis, haven't started drilling anything yet, and I want to size everything up before I start drilling holes.

Is this a 50 watt amp or 100?
If a 100 w, it would be difficult to fit two extra tubes into the standard sized chassis that we use here.
In a 50 watt it wouldn't be a problem.

Phuzle, dude, you have to put in some effort.
There are 4 pages of posts in the files section. Start at page 4, and read every thread that the author is Heisthl. Henry has graciously posted a number of builds with schematics and layouts that if you study them all, are almost a course in how to layout and build an amp. here is one :
https://tubeamparchive.com/viewtopic.php?t=2976
There are a whole bunch of other ones that bear study as well if you are serious about building this kind of amp. There is even one about building a Dlator and reverb unit as a seperate unit that plugs into the in/out jacks of a normal D clone.
Structos 1 tube reverb post is also a popular idea that I have even seen on other forums, but it originated here.
After you absorb all of that, I think you should go to the begining of the Dumble discussion and read the first 10 or 20 pages a few times. The most knowledgable D cloners in the world have spelled out everything for you if you take the time to read it. Have some respect for that and do some real research before you expect to be handed out a build guide after a couple of posts.
Please don't take what I say with a negative slant. We are privileged to look over the shoulders of giants on this board, and as an amp builder I feel that you are my brother and want you to succeed in your journey; just put in a little effort, that's all.
P.S. Henry, if your still eyeing this thread, I love your Tweedyverb, you are my hero !
