2 LDR Channel Switching
I'm modding a Fender 75 which already has 2 LDR's. Anyone know of a clever way to do the channel switching?
Re: 2 LDR Channel Switching
Not to derail your question Jackie, but look at my photo post. Those are real!
Also, the big Fuchs had is a Fender 75 that has been gutted and Dumbleized!

Ok, I looked. Yes, those are some nice amps (you may now post gut shots of that Liverpool). However, no wall of doom is complete without some Marshall 4x12's. That's a serious wall of doom faux pas.dogears wrote:Not to derail your question Jackie, but look at my photo post. Those are real!

As punishment, you must now tell me how to do the channel switching with 2 LDR's.
Or you can tell me whether I need the post od tonestack to get the over the top Sonny Landreth type sounds.
I'm going to run this 75 ultralinear, it will have the trainwreck type 1 post phase inverter master, and I'm keeping the original tag boards; I'm trying to do quick and dirty, making due with parts already on hand.

Jackie,
The Wreck's belong to Bill Holter (Babaji) on TGP. They are authentic and kill! Sorry, I have no pics.... Maybe I can get some.
Also, I hear Sonny has the post OD stack. If you build that circuit, be mindful of the schematic errors. We can talk off line about it. PM me if you want.

umm, you need more LDRs?Jackie Treehorn wrote:I'm modding a Fender 75 which already has 2 LDR's. Anyone know of a clever way to do the channel switching?
http://www.geocities.com/twoseriesfenders/index.html will give you most of the Series II schematics and the sloclone forum has more than you need to see about Soldano's - http://sloclone.yesterdaysrevolt.com/
You may also have to improve the supply. The Series II supply sags badly if you add just one extra LDR. Not sure about the 75/135s.

Ok, I gave up on the LDR's and got a 12 volt DPDT relay from Radio Shack. It's a 60ma draw. I suppose I could use a separate power supply; I don't want extra sag!
Actually, it looks like the draw from the LDR's was 40 ma each, so I should be in good shape.
